The Grand mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Sheikh, has announced that the Taraweeh and Eid prayers will be observed in homes should the COVID-19 pandemic persist.
The announcement came through the Facebook page of the Haramain Sharifain which disseminate news and happenings from KSA.
Saudi Arabia first recorded cases of corona virus on 2 March 2020 along with Tunisia and Jordan.
The cases overwhelmed the country until several cities and mosques were shut.
Muslims around the globe have been urged to postpone 2020 Hajj as a result.
KSA currently has 6380 positivecases , 990 recoveries and 83 deaths.
Ramadan (fasting) is expected to start on 23rd or 24th of April, 2020.
