Poetry: WE ARE ON OUR OWN..!

So it’s with life
Time is all we have
To the many things,
we cling so hard
Is because we are blind
We pray for light
But we have not,
the power of sight
And each day we rise
Is to a news, of another fight
The enemy is close
Within than without
A heart full of impatience
A tongue with no restraint
Here we are, lost in wilderness
Are we to wait for the dark
Or take off our blindfold
Are we to light our lamp
Before time takes its toll
We are on our own, if we care to know
