As the country remembers the overthrow of Dr Nkrumah, GIJ Freedom Center will host a student dialogue to recall the 1966 coup on 24th February, 2020 at the school’s premises.
Present will be representitive of parliament for North Tiongu, Hon Okudjeto Ablakwa, Editor-in-Chief of Insight newspaper and host of “Talk Time” on Pan African TV, Paa Kwesi Pratt,and a research fellow from Institute of African Studies, Mjiba Frehiwot.
The program will take place in the lecture hall B1 of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. There will be 14 Representitives of other African countries to honour the occasion.
The dialogue is centered on the theme “54 years after the overthrown of Kwame Nkrumah, how far with Ghana?”
The event seeks to celebrate the attainments of Dr Nkrumah, among which is the establishment of the premier communications university in the country, GIJ.
All students, media and the general public are cordially invited to witness the interactive session.
The program kicks off at 4:00pm.
