Covid-19: Human Rights Reporters condemns actions of security officers, calls on government to bring officers to order

The Human Rights Reporters Ghana has called on government to immediately bring the police and military officers to order as the force they use on citizens is inappropriate and uncalled for.
According to a statement released by the organization, the punishment meted out on violators of the imposed restrictions are too much and therefore condemns the actions.
The Human Rights Reporters Ghana believes that instead, the security forces could educate and counsel people on the importance of staying home to help stop the spread of the covid-19.
Videos of men in uniform have gone viral since the partial lockdown was incepted with young people being assaulted and brutalized.
